Exterior photograph of the Visitor's Entrance and east facade of the United States Mint, located in Denver, Colorado. The Denver Mint was officially established in 1895, and the original two-story Second Renaissance Revival style granite building was completed in 1904. Construction began in 1897 under the supervision of James Knox Taylor, and coinage operations commenced in 1906. Ranking as one of Denver's most popular tourist attractions, over the years, numerous additions have been constructed to accommodate increases in production and visitation.
