DENVER
THI MIL£ HIGH CITY
YEARS
CELEBRATE
DENVER
Congratulations! You have been named one of Denver's 150 - a special honor recognizing ordinary
citizens who are making extraordinary contributions to the Mile High City.
Denver's 150 was created to celebrate the City's 150th birthday and to honor 150 of its citizens as
"unsung heroes" - people like yourself who are making Denver a better place for this and future
generations. (For more information on how we selected Denver's 150, please see the enclosed fact
sheet.)
Please be my guest at a special ceremony honoring you and your fellow honorees on the City's
birthday, Saturday, November 22, 2008. The ceremony takes place at the Colorado History Museum,
1300 Broadway, from 8-10 a.m. and will conclude with you joining me for a tour of the new exhibit
Imagine a Great City: Denver at 150. At the ceremony, we will introduce you by name, honor you
with a distinctive plaque and give you a gift as a token of our gratitude.
Because of limited seating, please limit the number of guests you bring to this ceremony to no more
than two, in addition to yourself. Next week we will provide you with more detailed information about
the schedule for the November 22 event, including information about parking, photos, etc.
Please RSVP to Steve Jones at steve.iones@denvergov.org or (720) 913-1637 by Monday, November
17. If you cannot attend, you can arrange to pick up your plaque and gift at a later date at the
Wellington Webb Municipal Building.
Thank you again for your contributions to making Denver a great city.
Sincerely,
"l/LMf-r
