Summary	There are no plans or drawings describing the construction techniques used on the barn so the exact process is unclear. Restoration has provided a glimpse into how the barn may have been built. The barn rested directly on the ground with no foundation. The horizontal support was attached to a pole in the center of the barn area. This process was repeated until all the vertical wall studs were in place. The exterior walls, custom milled lap cedar siding, were attached and the horizontal supports removed; then the interior walls, planed tongue and groove cedar, were attached. The roof was probably added after the walls were up. The center pole was used to support the rafters extending from the walls. Once all the rafters, intersecting boards, and shingles were in place, the pole could be removed.
