Ornate spandrels top colonettes between windows of this storefront in Boulder, Colorado. A beaded mortar and pestle in the foreground tops a pole, and men posing on the sidewalk are dapper in their suits, gold chains and bowlers. Adjacent steps lead up inside the building; lettering on one reads: "Dr. Ambrook." Signs read: "Drug Store" "Whitney's Drug Store" "University Bookstore" (reflected) "Dry Goods" and "McClure." Telegraph wires top the windows and enter at the transom.
