Summary	People are gathered beside the Platte River in Denver, Colorado, for the dedication of a monument commemorating Montana City, Colorado. The short lived settlement of twenty cabins was built by settlers from Lawrence, Kansas, led by John Easter, and was eventually absorbed by the growing city of Denver. A photographer has a camera on a tripod; a horse and houses are in the background.
