National Guardsman & machine gun being fired on miners
Summary
A member of the Colorado National Guard sits in a log reinforced bunker and fires his tripod mounted machine gun against UMW strikers near Ludlow (Las Animas County), Colorado. The gun uses an ammunition belt; a box for ammunition, blankets and a package of pipe tobacco are near the gun. The soldier wears a broad brimmed hat. The members of the UMW were on strike against CF & I.
