Notes	Formerly F6763.; Hand-written on back of photoprint: "Francisco Plaza, La Veta, Colo. Built as fortress, trading station and settlement headquarters. Railroad station and end of the road when first built to La Veta. Colonel John M. Francisco probably was the first permanent settler to locate at La Veta town site. Many others soon followed. O. T.
