Summary
A miner sits outside a crudely built log cabin, Gunnison, Colorado, with his pick ax and shovel. The shack is known as the Sylvester Richardson cabin and the first one in town. The structure has logs of varying sizes chinked with mud, a low sagging front gable roof, hewn log front door and window opening.
