Summary	William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody poses on the back of his horse "Charlie" probably in England during the first European tour of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in 1887. Cody holds a rifle, probably a Winchester, in his right hand. He wears a buckskin coat with tassles and beads sewn on the pockets. He also wears thigh boots with spurs attached to them. A braided rope, possibly made of leather, hangs from the side of the saddle. A landscape scene is painted on the backdrop behind Cody.
