Piney Ridge from Azure, Colorado reached via Denver, Northwestern and Pacific Railway (later called Denver and Salt Lake) on the Moffat Road; view towards Colorado River; standard gauge track with box cars and caboose parked on loop siding, flat cars loaded with dirt parked on opposite siding; men standing on steep railroad embankment; flat cars were unloaded to strengthen fill loaded by steam shovel which worked off railroad tracks widening right-of-way from recent slides.
