Tolland (formerly Mammoth), Colorado, reached via Denver, Northwestern and Pacific Railway (later Denver and Salt Lake); shows picnic shelter, Toll Inn, restaurant (lunch room), shoe store, soft drinks and lunch stand, post office, souvenir store, and many people in shade of picnic pavilion. Mrs. Charles Toll, owner of town-site, built Toll Inn (or Toll Hotel) with twenty six rooms to attract railroad passengers; it became a favorite destination for one-day excursions from Denver.
