Summary	"Closing Era" bronze statue in front of Capitol building, Denver, Colorado; made by Preston Powers, ca. 1890; presented to city in 1892 by women of Fortnightly Club. The statue is a lifelike size bronze Native American male standing over a slain buffalo. Front steps and second story of Capitol are in background; an early automobile is parked next to capitol; and electric lightposts appear on Capitol steps.
