Summary	Stereographic view of a large rock formation and Central City in Gilpin County, Colorado; scene includes the Central City Public High School on High Street, a small building across High Street used as the city's elementary school building until the Clark School was built in the adjacent lot in 1901, the Teller House, the National Hotel, and Gunnell Hill.

Notes	"Collier's Rocky Mountain Scenery Published at Central City, Colorado 36. Central City, from the north" typed around edges of vintage stereographic print; words "No. 36 Central City, from the east. Central City is the oldest mining town in Colorado. It is situated in the heart of the mining region, is the county seat of Gilpin County, has a population of about five thousand people, and has an elevation of from 8,000 to 8,900 feet above the level of the sea. It is midway between Black Hawk and Nevada, forming with them a continuous town. It is connected by rail with the K.P. and U.P. railways." typed on paper stuck to back of stereographic print; name "Mrs. W.W.
