and built in 1863. The Blackhawk schoolhouse was built in the lot next to the church in 1870. Mine shafthouses line the hill in the background and above the church.; The Commission House, a wholesale and retail grocery store, stands adjacent to a wholesale and retail meat market in Blackhawk, Colorado. A grocery and liquor store stands farther up the dirt road with a covered wagon and its team of horses stopped in front of it. A drugstore stands next to the Black Hawk Bakery, where piles of wood are stacked. The Blackhawk Presbyterian Church stands on the hill above the dirt street. The church was organized by Rev. George W. Warner
