An unidentified man and three women, possibly including H.H. Lake's wife, Theodora, stop for a picnic in front of a stone building on Mount Evans in Clear Creek County, Colorado. One woman and the man sip from metal cups. The man holds a metal plate in his left hand. A thermos sits on the ground in the middle of the group near a box which reads "Our Advertiser, Smoking Tobacco, RJR". The box stands on its end with another box, possibly containing the picnic, tucked into ; the open side. The women each wear hats and dresses. The man wears a straw hat and a suit. A coat is resting on a window ledge of the building in the background.
