Summary	The view looking north, in downtown Idaho Springs, Colorado, shows two young boys standing next to a burro which has a saddle blanket and an equipment harness on its back. The boys are dressed in suits and ties; one wears a flat cap, the other wears a plantation hat. Behind the boys is the Idaho Springs Fire Department building. It has a square tower with hexagonal openings on each of its four facets. The bell is visible within. Attached to the side of the building is a poster advertising, "Brown's in Town" a comedic farce which was to appear on Tuesday, September 19, 1900, at the Opera House. The Portland Hotel is in the distance along Miner Street.
