Summary	Members of the machine gun squad of the Denver Police Department pose with weapons at Civic Center Park in Denver, Colorado. Captain George Merritt lies on the ground and leans on one elbow near officers who demonstrate the use of a machine gun. Four officers stand nearby; two holding bayonets, two holding rifles. An officer with ordnance bags kneels on the grass. The Voorhies Memorial and the Arapahoe County Courthouse are in the distance.
