Notes
Condition: retouched.; Newspaper caption glued to back of photoprint reads: "Mystery. This is the old hotel at East Fortieth Avenue and Walnut street, where Patrolman M.V. Martin dug into a grave, early Thursday, disclosing either another murder mystery or the bones of a pioneer pooch. No matter what the outcome of the cop's efforts may be, he broke all police department records for plain, hard work when he excavated a large portion of the hotel basement hunting for more evidence. Inset is a picture of Martin."; Title supplied.; R7100292323
