Summary	Three men and a horse pose in front of one of the only buildings ever built in Franklin (Summit County), Colorado. Most of the building is obscured by pine trees, but the gable and open front porch are visible. Records do not exist for why the town was unsuccessful.

This was the first and only building of what was to have been the town of Franklin, and was the meeting place for officers and wealthy stockholders of the Montezuma Silver Mining Company."; Photographer's name and address "W.D.
