Summary	View of log cabins and timber buildings in a canyon at Ophir City (Washoe County), Nevada. Buildings have shingle, straw or hay roofs. A building has stone chimneys, stone walls are between houses. Shows commercial buildings and possibly Murphy Mine buildings.

Notes	A copy of a letter from Nevada Historical Society dated May 9, 1967, to Mrs. Alys Freeze, Western History Department, is taped to verso. The letter discusses the identity of the photograph and is signed by Mrs. Clara S. Beatty, Director, Nevada Historical Society.; Formerly F17131; Possibly taken on Geographical Surveys West of the 100th Meridian (U.S.).; Stamp on verso reads: "$1.; Title penciled on verso.; Library owns additional iterations of this image in various formats: 1 copy negative ; 13 x 18 cm.
