Condition: faded.; Formerly Mc243.; Number: "Mc243" inked on glass plate.; Text typed on back of print reads: "This was the last picture taken of Chipeta at her tepee near Dragon, Utah, taken by Thomas M. McKee of Montrose, Colo. Chipeta was totally blind then. The piece of rawhide at her feet she was softening up to make soles for her moccasins. Will be noticed she was in her bare feet. Picture taken about a year before she died. This picture is copyrighted and if you use same you give Mr. McKee credit for same and place on the cut or below same, statement that it is copyrighted by Mr. McKee, but permission is granted to you only for its use, and must not be used by anyone else. J.E. Adams" and is crossed out. Penciled notes in margin read "see text for this." Inked text reads: "Illustration for Bright Arrow (to precede Chap. XV) Picture No. 13."
