Summary	Image of a painting by Herndon Davis, a Denver artist (1901- 1962), interior of the Apex Miners' Hall, seven miles northwest of Central City, Gilpin County, Colorado; shows Don Block looking at the theater stage with painted backdrop, side draped curtains, and carpet runner on steps; scene of a smoking volcano inside an oval shape; stage flanked by arched doorways with steps leading onto stage; wood paneled hall and paneled ceiling with two lanterns hanging from it; stove with a long L- shaped pipe to the side of the stage front.
