A banner hangs across street advertising: "3rd Annual Harvest Festival, Friday & Saturday, Sept. 16th & 17th, Free Dancing Each Evening." Young boys wear overalls, men wear suits or shirt and ties, and women wear dresses and most everyone has on a hat, including sombreros, derbies, and cloches. American flags on poles and streetlights are along sidewalk edge. The corner two-story building advertises the: "First National Bank" and the "Arvada Hardware Co., H. J. Hawley & Son."
