Summary	View northwest from Goat Hill over Caribou (9800 feet), Boulder County, Colorado, includes streets lined with log, board and batten, wood frame false fronts, gabled and lean-tos structures. Many have external timber braces propped against them for protection against the strong west wind from the Continental Divide. Businesses on Potosi Street include stores, saloons, restaurants and the post office. The Sherman House is on the corner of Potosi and Sherman Streets with a horse-drawn wagon alongside of the three-story hotel. The schoolhouse is on a slope of stumps; "Baldly Mountain" (Bald Mountain) with light snow is beyond the town.
