View of Sipapu Bridge (formerly called Augusta), Natural Bridges National Monument, San Juan County, Utah; 48 miles west of Blanding, Utah; originally named Augusta after wife of Horace J. Long, Long published an illustrated article in 1904 National Geographic Magazine after his 1903 excursion to Natural Bridges area guided by local cattleman James Scorup, renamed Sipapu by the U.S. Government in 1909, largest of natural bridges in White Canyon, 222 (or 220) feet in height, span of 261 (or 268) feet; view of entire span of natural rock bridge with two people on top portion of bridge; brush, shrubs & trees underneath span; copy of an original attributed to McClure.
