The front doors of the Catholic Church in Silver Plume, Colorado, are centered on a front gable. They were hand carved in Italy and shipped to Father Volpez when the church was built in 1876. They have been painted a number of times over the years to help prevent deterioration. They are single-leaf doors with two panels on each leaf. Each panel is intricately carved with symbolic ornamentation. The entryway is arched; stairs lead to the doors.
