Summary	Five views of the Methodist parsonages in Altman, Colorado, include; upper left corner image: the first parsonage located between Altman and Independence. A small lean-to shack with an open entry door and a four pane window. Upper right image: a similar view with Reverend H. M. Pingree at door, a sign "M. E. Parsonage" and snow covering ground. He was the second minister sent there and built the only protestant church in a former grocery store. He was called the "Sky Pilot" preacher. Middle image: his second parsonage on the "ridge" at Altman, a two room cabin where he kept open house for the miners, serving coffee and donuts as they came off shift. Lower left: second parsonage in winter with snow covered roof and ground. Lower right image: interior view of of a study area in the second parsonage. A writing desk with bookshelves filled with books and photographs is in the corner. The sunlit room has floral wallpaper and curtains, tennis racket, calender and a framed picture on the wall.

Notes	Formerly F8087.; Hand-written on back of photoprint: 1. Upper left corner, 1st parsonage between Altman and Independence, Colo. 2. Upper right, same as no. 1 with Rev. H. M. Pingree at door. He was the second minister sent there and built the only protestant church ever there in a former grocery store during his several years in that area. Called the "Sky Pilot" preacher at Altman. 3 Middle, his 2nd parsonage on the "ridge" at Altman, a two room cabin where he kept open house for the miners, serving coffee and donuts as they came off shift. Had chess, checkers and things for them to read. 4. Lower left, 2nd parsonage in winter. 5.
