Summary	View of Georgetown, Colorado, looking south toward the valley leading to Silver Plume, where the High Bridge of the Georgetown Loop is visible between Leavenworth and Republican Mountains. Visible landmarks in the sunlit grid-plan town include the Cushman Block, on Sixth (6th, Alpine) Street; the schoolhouse, on Taos Street; the tower of the Alpine Hose Company No. 2 firehouse on Fifth Street; Grace Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church, and the Methodist church, all on Taos; and numerous mine entrances. The rocky terrain of Griffith Mountain is on the left, in deep shadow, indicating that the photograph was taken from the mountain.
