Summary
Native American (Lakota Sioux) Interpreter Franc C. Goings and his family, members of "The Red Man spectacle and Red Indian camp" stand in front of a painted backdrop of Yellowstone Falls in the dirt arena in Empress Hall, at the Golden West and American Industries Exhibition in Earl's Court, London, England. Franc Goings wears a suit, tie, and hat decorated with a beaded headband. He holds a baby in a bonnet, Nelson Cody Goings. His wife, Julia Goings, wears braids and is dressed in a beaded, quilled and fringed buckskin dress. She has a leather belt with silver conchos and wears a hairpipe and trade bead necklace. An unidentified woman wears a cloth dress decorated with elk teeth and held with a leather and silver concho belt. She has on a hairpipe necklace decorated with trade beads and coins and a sliver bracelet. The woman holds the hand of Leta Goings, the young girl wears a headdress and fringed buckskin dress decorated with quillwork. William Goings, a young boy, wears a feather headdress, a beaded vest and leggings and beaded moccasins.
