View of Sixth (Alpine) Street at the corner of 6th and Taos St. west, in Georgetown, Colorado. A group of 21 men, women, and children on burros and horses are lined up across the street and pose for the camera. The women wear various large, protective hats, and several are wearing corsets; several of the men wear bowler hats, and one wears a pith helmet. Two small children sit in their mother's laps. The three-story brick Cushman Block is on the north side of the street; a sign on the first floor reads, "A. R. Forbes" the site of a drug store. Other signs on the building read, "Bank of Georgetown" "Office of the Colorado Telephone Co." "Doctor [?]ayne." The awning on a building next door reads, "Meats" and another sign further down the street reads, "City Hotel." On the south side of the street are a tall wood construction building with the word "House" visible, probably a hotel, and a false front building with "Furniture" and "Headquarters. Republican Club" signs. Republican Mountain is at the end of the street.
