Title	Georgetown, Colorado, looking north
Summary	View of Georgetown, Colorado, north from an elevated position on Leavenworth Mountain, with Republican Mountain on the left and Griffith Mountain on the right. Rose, Argentine, and Alpine (6th, Sixth) Streets, are visible. Most of the buildings are of wood construction; corrals and log constructions are at the foot of Leavenworth Mountain. In the distance is the Catholic Church built in 1872. The Hamill House, its early building phase completed about 1867, is visible on the left on Argentine; behind it is the smelter at the base of Chimney Rock. the Barton House hotel is visible slightly south of Alpine, where there are several false front establishments, two with signs reading, "Livery, Feed, and Sale Stable" and "Patterson & Peck Grocers." Clear Creek, with its two branches on the south end of town that merge at the north end, is clearly visible.
