Title	The Manitou Soda Springs

Summary	Scene in Manitou Springs, Colorado, looking west. The low stone wall edging the unpaved Manitou Avenue is interrupted by stepped walls bounding the walk down to Fountain Creek. The round, finial topped conical roofed shelters over Navajo and Cheyenne Springs are in the left; between them is an arched sign with jigsawn flourishes "Manitou Soda Springs and Pavilion." Right of center is the Soda Spring Pavilion, a cross gable roofed structure with a cupola, and an open covered patio on the east end. Latticework in the apexes takes the form of sunbursts; the building has a knee-high rusticated stone foundation. A medallion in the facade of the eastern gable reads: "1885"; banner over the entry reads: "Views, Specimens, Native Jewelry." Right of the Pavilion is a power pole with a hanging arc light, and residences are behind and to the right, up the hill. The roof of the Manitou Bath House with its tower, gables and dormers is visible further back; Mount Manitou and foothills fill the background.
