Exterior view of the Hamill House, located at the corner of Argentine and Third (3rd) Streets in Georgetown, Colorado. The house was built by Joseph Watson and acquired by William A. Hamill in 1874. Between 1874 and 1881 he made various additions to the house and grounds. The house has a gable roof, gable in the center on the facade which holds a pointed-arch window, a neon sign "Eat" mounted at the apex of the frontal gable, a porch and a railing with a sign "Hamill House" a bay window, a solarium, and an an oriole window. Scene also includes a privy, fountain, stone fence, telephone or telegraph poles, and Republican Mountain.

Formerly MO129.; Hand-written in pencil on back of photoprint: the General William A. Hamill House. Restored with loving care and great fidelity by Mrs. Edith Wick in 1946, this handsome residence is now operated as a museum by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bennett. Along with the Hotel de Paris it is one of the few authentic restorations in the town.
