Summary	View of Sixth (6th or Alpine) and Rose Streets in Georgetown, Colorado, including the Monti Building, a wood construction building built in 1867, with signs: "Cresto & Valentine the Worst Wines Liquors & Cigars" "Visit the St. James Authentic Mining Town Atmosphere" and "Grub Stake First Class Table." Up Rose Street the Alpine Hose Company No. 2 firehouse with bell tower and the public school are visible. Leavenworth Mountain is in the background.

Notes	Formerly MO121.; Hand-written in pencil on back of photoprint: The Monti Block. This two-story frame building, at the hub of town, Fifth and Alpine Streets, is one of Georgetown's earliest business blocks and was erected in 1867. Now occupied by a railroad museum which has a scale model of the famed Georgetown Loop, the exterior of the building has been painted over to obliterate the Cresto and Valentine Sign, long a chuckle-getter from visitors an local citizens.
