The Gates Half Soles baseball team poses with Mr. Charles C. Gates (center). The team wears striped uniforms and baseball caps; bat boys and a toddler pose in the front row with a catcher's mitt. A sign over the door at the Gates Rubber Company in Denver, Colorado reads: "Entrance To The Roof Garden."
