View of the Oakes Home located at 2825 West 32nd (Thirty- second) Avenue at Decatur Street in Denver, Colorado. The sanatorium opened in September 1895 under direction of Reverend Frederick W. Oakes. Oakes was the first organized institution to care for tuberculosis victims in Denver and the second in United States.
