The staff of the Morning Advertiser poses in front of the newspaper's office in Trinidad, Colorado. Two wooden, lathe turned spiral posts flank the glass doors, with lettering that reads: "Advertiser." The doorframe below the transom has the number 318 mounted on it. A plate window has Germanic lettering: "The Morning Advertiser" (partly hidden). A sign on the building reads: "Trinidad Brokerage Co." Men and boys standing on the boardwalk wear sack suits, string, bow and cravat ties; derby, planter and top hats. The boys in front carry stacks of papers under their arms, and behind their feet on the step, numerous signs are mounted. Legible ones read: "Battle Ax Plug" "Fashion Plug Cut" "Pearline the Great Cleanser."
