St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church is in the foreground on Pine Street in Central City, Colorado. The two story Parish/Penrose House is next to the church, and has a mansard roof, dormer windows, two bay windows, and a porch. Two smaller, wood frame houses are behind the church and the Parish/Penrose House. A long line of wooden steps lead to the St. Aloysius Convent and School midway up the hill. The Academy Reservoir is to the right of it. Barren Quartz Hill is in the background.
