Title	Grammar school at Adams City
Summary	The four-room grammar school building in Adams City, Adams County, Colorado was built in 1907. The light colored brick building features a rambling floorplan with two stories. The two end sections have hipped roofs and open double-hung windows. A boy is on the steps of the entry. Children play on the grounds and on the swingset. Bicycles lean against the school. The grammar school building housed the Union High School from 1908 to 1917. The first separate building for the Union High School was the one-story School District no. 14 building, built in 1916 and seen in the background. It features a medium hip roof, a front projecting two-story tower with bellcast hip roof, cresting and end finials, and large pane windows with transoms.
