Summary
Three Tenth Mountain Division, 85th Mountain Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Headquarters Company soldiers make a reconnaissance of the Po River at its banks near San Benedetto during the Italian Campaign. The banks of the river are flat. Part of a Pontoon bridge is visible on the left of the image. According to the caption they were preparing to cross the river in DUWKS (Army Amphibious Vehicles) and by Pontoon bridge that night.
