Notes
Formerly F20378; Formerly X-11000188; Printed on paper and attached to back of the photoprint: "In one of nature's ampitheaters [sic.], in a canyon near Boulder, twenty-five hundred white-robed Colorado Klansmen assembled at six thirty Saturday evening. A class of one hundred and fifty candidates were naturalized under the blaze of the firy [sic.] cross, and the charter of the Boulder clan was delivered to the Boulder exalted cyclops and his five hundred clansmen. The accompanying photograph represents this charter presentation. Representatives from Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Pueblo, La Junta, LaFayette, Louisville, Longmont, Brighton, Littleton and Golden and several hundred other Colorado towns and cities made up the assemblage. Five hundred automobiles, most all equipped with spot-lights, formed a bright arc around the gathering. As this writer is leaving, Boulder clan is host to the visiting clansmen at an old-fashioned Western barbecue, short-addresses being made by leading professional and businessmen and the substantial agruculturists and stockmen of the state. This is the first picture Colorado citizens have seen where the varied robes and regalia of the titular officers, both national and state, are shown. The picture plainly shows the flag bearer to be from Denver Clan, No. 1."; Title supplied by cataloger.; R7110001889
