Summary	Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado, this marble corner fireplace is topped with a taxidermied eagle, busts on pedestals, a Greek vase, a plaster camel and lion, and a beer stein. Rope, tassels and fringe are mixed with photographs of Native Americans; a cuckoo clock is on the chintz papered wall. The firebox and screen are cast iron; a fur rug is in the doorway. A china vase and bowl are on a spindle table; part of the wood parquet floor shows. A globed lamp hangs from the interior ceiling.
