The hotel has a faceted tower and mansard roof; the Denver and Rio Grande depot has a gable roof with flared eaves. An engine, coal and freight car have lettering: "312" "Denver & Rio Grande" and "St. Louis Iron Mountain and Southern 1009[?]." The Arkansas River is in the foreground.
