Charlene Place, early Denver, Colorado, apartment building, 1421-41 Pennsylvania. Originally a group of four large connected houses built in 1890 by architects, Varian and Sterner. Romanesque Revival features include: stone construction, steep roofline with dormers, towers and turrets with conical roofs and chimneys. Residence of Frank A. Wadleigh, Assistant General Passenger Agent of the Rio Grande, whom Beam worked closely with for many years.
