Summary	View west on Bennett Avenue between 4th (Fourth) and 5th (Fifth) Streets after first fire of April 25, 1896, Cripple Creek, Colorado; shows commercial business district with many two-story flat-roof brick buildings including the National Hotel; horse-drawn wagons and carriages are parked across from elevated portion of Bennett Avenue; also pictured are a horse-drawn coal wagon, wooden boards for construction, piles of debris covering boardwalk, and signs on buildings that read: "Furnished Rooms" and "Go to a New Portland Hotel."
