Summary	View of the Sedgwick County Court House in Julesburg, Colorado. Architectural features include a hipped roof, a pediment, a large cupola with a clock, quoins, lintels, and a bracketed cornice. Two boys with bicycles in foreground. Water tower in background.

Notes	Formerly F29093.; Hand-written on back of photoprint: "Sedgwick County's first court house, built in 1904. Sedgwick County was created in April, 1889, & prior to the construction of the court house, the various county offices were housed in several business buildings. The water tower belonged to the town of Julesburg. The court house was built in Julesburg No. 4 which was established by the Union Pacific in 1880 when it built its branch line to Denver. The U.P. called its town Denver Junction, but when it was incorporated in 1886 the citizens petitioned to have the name change to Julesburg. Just a few years after this court house's construction, the cupola containing the clock threatened to fall into the bldg., so it was removed."; Title hand-written on front of photoprint.; R7100096094
