View of a multi story building made of ice blocks in Leadville (Lake County), Colorado. The ice palace, built for the 1896 Winter Crystal Carnival, is between West 7th (Seventh) and West 8th (Eighth) Streets from Spruce to Leiter. The building has round turrets with conical roofs, arched doorways, battlements, and flags in place of finials or on corner turrets. A sculpture of a female, allegorical figure is beside the main arched doorway. Probably horse-drawn wagon tracks are in the snow on the ground near the ice palace.
