From Colorado Historical Society notes: "Head stall (bridle) for horse. This belonged to Chipeta. Loomed beadwork sewn on cotton cloth, designs range from simple floral (green and red alternating flowers on nose cross-piece) to more intricate leaf and vine motif; all are on white ground. Colors used are light and translucent green, light, dark and azure blue, orange, red, yellow, gold, silver and clear. Leaf design is on the two horizontal cross-pieces, and leaves are green, red and orange in color, in the diamond shape, running along and attached to a central blue stem. These two cross-pieces are also decorated with red wool tassels. Yellow, green, pink and blue ribbon are also applied to right and left of each cross-piece; the green and blue ribbons fashioned into rosettes."; Shows a Native American Ute head stall (horse bridle). It is decorated with loomed beadwork sewn on cotton cloth, ribbons and wool tassels. The piece was originally owned by Chipeta.
