Summary	View of the University of California campus at Berkeley, California. Buildings include South Hall, a Victorian Second Empire style building with mansard hip roofs, cast-iron cresting, string coursing, round dormers, and arched roof dormers, windows with hood moldings, pilasters, and a cornice with a modillion course. The building has two small wings with large chimneys. Bacon Library (Bacon Hall) was designed by John A. Remer and completed in 1881. The building is also in the Victorian Second Empire style. It has a central clock tower with turrets and is flanked by matching wings also with mansard roofs and dormers and fanlight windows. The Mining Building, is a Victorian Second Empire style three story building with mansard roofs, arched and pedimented wall dormers in the attic, arched windows with hood molding, and a covered entrance with columns, dentils, a balconet and balustrade. North Hall is in the Victorian Second Empire style, and has mansard hip roofs with cast iron cresting, arched and ogee wall dormers. The round arched windows have hood moldings. The facade has a two square towers. The buildings has a covered porch with two entrances and two external stairways. A balcony connects the two towers and is part of the porch. The cornice has decorative elements and a modillion course.
