Title	Placing marker at site of Gregory Lode
Summary	A crowd of men, women, and children gather around a temporary historical marker posted on a dirt road in Blackhawk (Black Hawk) (Gilpin County), Colorado. The sign reads: "The State Historical and Natural History Society of Colorado. On this Ground, Later Known as Gregory Diggings, John H. Gregory Discovered the first Gold Quartz Mine in Colorado, May 6, 1859. This Lode has Produced $20,000,000.00 in Gold." The men wear suits, and the women wear dresses and hats. A sign posted on a utility pole reads: "Speed Limit 12 mi. Per Hour, Keep Muffler Closed." Houses are in the distance.
